I used the Aveda Pure-Formance Grooming Clay for many years before switching to this product as the Aveda has become far too expensive recently. This product is a great alternative with HIGHER hold, and the same matte finish. The only possible downside is that you have to use a bit more technique when applying the product to prevent tugging in your hair, however, that was easy to learn. This product being $25 for 3.4 ounces compared to Aveda's clay that is $34 for 2.6 ounces makes this a clear winner. It smells great, and leaves my hair re-stylable throughout the day. I have dense, fine, straight hair of medium length.

Northern Lights is my go-to styling product. It gives the perfect amount of hold with a natural, no product look. I have short, fine hair, and this doesn't weigh it down or make my hair look greasy. It washes out very easily and it has a nice and clean scent, which is great. I love it!

Perfect texture and a little goes a long way. A firm but natural hold and washes out very easily. No greasiness and just what I was looking for.

This paste keeps its hold on my hair throughout the whole day. I work a physically demanding job and my hair still looks good after work. I like that there is no harsh chemical smell.

Only been using it a couple of days & recently started using product again but overall would say I’m happy with it so far. Not super hard hold, wish a bit harder, but enough for working from home, bar etc. & smells good & easy to get out in shower.
