It’s probably one of my new favorite products and definitely one of the best from SR.
I’d call it sort of a versatile middle ground product. It has good hold, but my hair still feels movable and soft. The texture is really good without being too matte or stiff. The finish is healthy looking but not shiny by any means. Where Clays and Pomades are really made for specific hairstyles, this Wax is just has an all around natural, controlled, textured and healthy feel. It’s like they took the best parts of different types of products, dialed them down and combined them to make this.

Another great product. Easy to use, great texture and hold. Will get the full sized jar soon.

WAX is one of my favorite products ever, so naturally I was excited for the long-awaited release of Upstate Blues.

If you’ve tried the OG, UB has a similar finish. However, this version breaks down, applies, styles, and washes out with more ease. It’s also surprisingly creamy, which makes it even more of a Northern Lights-Gray Ghost hybrid. A true 10/10 product.

This texture wax is truly a game-changer. I've tried dozens of other products, including every item in SR's lineup, but this one is by far Shear Revival's best yet. At first, I was hesitant because of the word "wax" in the name, but it washes out effortlessly without shampoo on those no-wash days. The scent is pleasantly mild (though scent preferences can vary), and it leaves my hair feeling light and soft, with excellent hold that doesn't feel sticky throughout the day. The hold lasts all day, and it provides a natural shine, not too glossy but just right. I agree with other reviewers that it strikes the perfect balance between Gray Ghost and Northern Lights. I highly recommend trying the trial size—you won’t be disappointed. It also pairs wonderfully with Amity Texture Spray for added texture and volume.

I've tried many products and this is up there with the best for me, American Gardens. One clay prominent and the other not so much, more just a dry waxy type of product. I appreciate they don't have too much oil, as it makes lighter shade hair appear darker and greasy, adds weight and too much shine. I've tried O'Douds Dry Wax in the past, and assuming their Wax collab is similar, this Upstate Blues has a nice oil reduction, making it more lightweight and less shine. Keep in mind products like this aren't dry in some sort of unhealthy way like from bad alcohols, it's just clay or not too much oil, the latter in this case. You can always add more oil to your hair, but you can't really remove it from a product that already has too much.
